In early September we started hearing dire predictions of this year's pumpkin crop. Aldra went to an actual pumpkin patch to find some answers.
Gourds were plentiful and in good form. Clearly, the "shortage" didn't effect these cucurbitaceae.
Perhaps the "wee-bee-littles" were a marketing gimmick to sell stunted-growth pumpkins? But who doesn't love things in mini? No shortage of cute here.
Some pumpkins did appear misshapen and warty.
In this land of plenty, no creature comforts were overlooked. Clearly, the farmers weren't scrimping there.
Aldra went under-cover at one point. Overall, pumpkin numbers seemed in good shape.
This reporter found no evidence of a pumpkin shortage....
but just in case, we stocked up.
Could I possibly love this any more? No. No, I could not.
ReplyDeleteThat's some excellent under-cover reporting! Good times.
